Hammering. Beating still, as it
Beholds the wonder of the
Apparition present before me.
Darkness framing your silhouette,
Calling to attention the glow
Shining forth from your perfect
Countenance. Eyes only for you.
Souls pirouetting, gamboling,
A dance of joy, completeness
Found. Hold now, gently touch,
Exquisitely emotional high.
Amber, precious that, your
Eyes, window through which
We connect. Love blazing
Strongly forth, enveloping.
Pure, untainted. All else be
Lies. All except for you and
Your love drawing me close.
Can’t hold back amazement.
Reflected in that amber mirror,
A most wondrous dream greets
Me. Yet, it is only imperfect me.
How then the transformation?
Who am I that I should hold
Such importance in your life?
Betters lurk all around waiting
Only to claim you for their own.
What is my worth? The world
Willingly forsaken just for my
Presence by your side. Lack of
Comprehension plagues me.
In my world, everything awaits in
That deep dark dungeon where
Vacuum reigns. Ample space so
You could dwell alongside me.
Absence, that gap which none
Else can fill up. A breach the
Size and shape of which only
One, that is you, will ever fit.
In the desolate valley I roam.
Looking, searching for that I
Have already forgotten. But
You came seeking me out.
The strongest weapons have
Been unable to breach my
Defenses. With simple trust,
Naively you broke through.
I had thought contentment
A thing of the past, lost
Irrevocably. Until you came
And made my heart yours.
Now am I satisfied, just to
Feel your presence close
To me. No need for masks
Or facades. Just being me.
Residing forever in your
Tender embrace. Certain
Security. Nary a worry,
You watching over me.
Thank you for your love, that
Keeps me warm even when I
Was freezing cold. Through
Sharing my sorrows, negates.
